Physical exercise

Physical exercise is a further important pillar of weight loss. We are consciously refraining from using the word sports’, as this might result in a wrong interpretation. We are well aware of the fact that physical exercise is extremely difficult for severely overweight people due to orthopaedic problems or dyspnoea. For this reason, it is important to find a type of exercise that can be performed despite such restrictions. Everyone is asked to look into possible options themselves. We recommend aqua training and swimming as this does not place stress on the joints and ergometer training. Also, various types of exercise exist, e.g. chair-based exercises, that can be easily performed, despite severe physical restrictions.
On principle, a permanent reduction of weight is only possible if physical exercise also plays a role.
